NCT Female Version? Yeseo & Mashiro’s Agency to Debut New Girl Group With Unlimited Members

On Aug. 16, 143 Entertainment announced through press releases that its new girl group named LIMELIGHT will start their pre-debut activities on Sept. 29. They are expected to drop a mini-album containing four songs on that day.

It is said that LIMELIGHT aims to be an “expandable girl group” with no limit on the number of members, making them appear like an NCT female version.

SM Entertainment’s boy group NCT is widely known for its unique concept of having unlimited members divided into multiple subunits. While LIMELIGHT will also have numerous members, it wasn’t mentioned whether subunits will also be formed.

To date, the new girl group has three members, Ito Miyu, Kim Suhye, and Oh Gaeun. Two of them are familiar faces to the public as they have appeared on survival shows in the past.

In particular, Ito Miyu (miU) was first introduced through Mnet’s latest girl group survival show “Girls Planet 999,” while Kim Suhye gained attention as an incredible vocalist on MBC’s girl group survival program “My Teenage Girl.” Meanwhile, Oh Gaeun is 143 Entertainment’s skilled trainee with notable “Asian looks.”
