These are the Top 20 Best Male K-pop Singers in 2022- TVXQ, Stray Kids, NCT

Recently, a survey was made among thousands of Japanese fans to determine which male K-pop singers they think are the best this year, and the results are in.

TVXQ Yunho

These are the Top 20 Best Male K-pop Singers in 2022— BTS Member Occupies #1

Coming in at No. 5 is TVXQ Yunho, who is the leader, main rapper, main dancer, vocalist, and center of his group. The male K-pop idol received 1,757 votes.

Aside from Yunho, his fellow member Changmin is also included in the list. It doesn’t come as a surprise, as TVXQ- or better known in Japan as Tohoshinki- has been popular in the country since 2005 when they advanced to Japan after making their debut in Korea.

Tohoshinki is widely popular in the country, selling thousands of copies of albums they sold daily, weekly, and monthly and holding several sold-out concerts.

Stray Kids Seungmin

Securing No. 4 is a fourth-generation K-pop idol, who is none other than Stray Kids Seungmin. The “MANIAC” singer got 1,979 votes in the poll. His co-member Han also made the list. This only goes to show the immense growth of Stray Kids’ popularity in Japan.

NCT Taeil claims No. 3 in the poll of Best Male K-pop Singers in 2022 with a total of 2,612 votes. He is the main vocalist of NCT’s subunits NCT U and NCT 127. In Japan, NCT is one of the most popular K-pop groups among Japanese teenagers. No wonder Taeil entered the top 5.

Sitting at No. 2 is SEVENTEEN DK, one of the main vocalists of the group alongside Seungkwan (who also earned a spot in the poll). DK got a total of 4,260 votes, which almost doubled the score of NCT Taeil.

SEVENTEEN has been proving their great popularity in Japan since they made their debut back in 2018, but their fame started expanding in 2020. They have been recording hundreds of thousands of album sales- either a Korean or Japanese release- and selling out concerts.

Finally, the No. 1 best male K-pop singer of 2022, according to Japanese fans, is BTS Jungkook, who earned a total of 5,217 votes. The “golden maknae” has showcased his massive popularity in Japan through various ways, one of which is achieving streaming certifications for his self-composed songs “Your Eyes Tell” and “Film Out.”
