On April 23, JYP Entertainment unveiled that TWICE, who will hold a three-day solo concert at Tokyo Dome in Japan sets various records through this.

Aside from this, the nine-member group also broke the record for having the shortest period to return to the same Tokyo Dome stage since its first performance at the venue in March 2019.

JYP Entertainment told SBS:

“Even if we include local singers, it is the second female artist to hold three concerts at Tokyo Dome after the group AKB48. It has set another record as well after entering Tokyo Dome in the shortest period since its debut in March 2019.”

Originally, TWICE is set to perform from April 23 to 24. After an enthusiastic response from fans especially ONCEs, JYP decided to add another concert date for April 25.

As expected of the fandom’s purchasing power, all seats for the three-day show are now sold out amid the reservation crisis when the server was down.

Meanwhile, the reason why this is a big deal is not only because TWICE sold out their concerts for three days, but because Tokyo Dome in Japan is considered a “Holy Land of Japanese Performances.”

It is a representative local performance hall that accommodates about 50,000 people and is also called a “dream stage” for Japanese singers because it is not easy to fill the seats.

Among K-pop artists, only a few artists were able to set their foot in this concert venue, including top stars TVXQ, SHINee, BTS, BLACKPINK, Girls’ Generation, BIGBANG, EXO, Super Junior, 2PM as well as TWICE.

For those who were not able to reserve their tickets for the offline event, TWICE will also be having a live viewing which will be held to screen the performance at movie theaters across Japan on April 24.
